All instructors are former members of the British Armed Forces with Royal Military Police, EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) and Special Forces Backgrounds.

NGO security & survival services

Aimed at the client who will be working in locations that may be detached from the main secured military bases or urban centres of population where access to sound infrastructure and logistic support are not immediately available. This is a new concept and we believe it will be the way forward for future services in austere and hostile environment services. At present, there are no other security providers, which can offer this level of services, making Protegimus Strategies International proud to lead the way in this area of services. Although HET services is regarded as an adequate services package to operate in these dangerous and often demanding environments, the security and survival package will include many of the same core subjects, but with a focus that will highlight the importance of self reliance and self help. This package is aimed at the client who may find themselves on occasions in remote areas where medical and or military assistance may be some distance away. Subjects taught will include:

  • Specific country briefings
  • Threat brief, specific to intended area of operations
  • Intelligence briefings
  • Basic map reading, including use of map and compass
  • Use of GPS, Thuraya, and other communications systems
  • Basic voice procedure and procedure for requesting assistance from Coalition military units

  • Driver services: Including basic fault finding and maintenance, preparing a vehicle for long journeys, preparing emergency water, rations, fuel and clothing packs. Vehicle breakdown kit and equipment

  • Planning a vehicle convoy move: Planning a route, Actions on traffic accidents, breakdown, robbery, contact, illegal vehicle check point (VCP) drills, fuel station refuelling drills, etc. One, two or multiple vehicle moves.

  • Operations centres: Military and Civilian. What information they require in an emergency? The nine (9) line casualty evacuation system adopted by the US / Coalition military in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • Medical services: In addition to the basic HET package medical services, students will be taught the following: Contents, maintenance and how to use medical packs How to treat casualties with minimal or no medical equipment available (improvisation techniques) Self treatment of minor medical problems including diarrhoea, heat injuries, cold injuries, etc Basic food and water preparation including water sterilisation
